About Cardinal Bird Pictures

Hi, I’m Mike Piston. I’ve taken the pictures you see on this site. The northern cardinal is my favorite bird to photograph because of its color, expression, and personality.

I took all the pictures on this site at Rockefeller State Park Preserve in Pleasantville, New York. If you are in the New York City area, this is a great park with miles of hiking trails.

After taking many pictures at Rockefeller State Park Preserve, I decided to make it a photography project and create a website featuring my pictures. If you’re interested, take a look at the Birds of Rockefeller website.
